Alexander’s CD, ‘From Score to Screen’, will be released and available for purchase on April 24th, 2008. The CD features some of Alexander’s best film and concert scores since 2003. Featured scores include ‘The Getouts’, ‘The Nastiworths’, ‘Vigilante’ and much more. Also included is the complete recording of Alexander’s first film score, ‘The Tale of Gabriel Grub’, featuring vocals by Toronto singer/songwriter, Di Thomas. The CD will be available on alexanderdoan.com through CD Baby, and future releases through iTunes, Yahoo Music, Napster and available to order through various CD store outlets worldwide. Toronto based film composer, Alexander Doan, is presenting Allegro! In The Annex…A Night of Music in Mirvish Village, taking place on Saturday, February 9, 2008, at 8:00 p.m. The event will be held at The Central, 603 Markham Street, Toronto, Ontario M6G 2L7, which is in the heart of the historic Mirvish Village and will bring together professional musicians from Toronto, Guelph, Niagara and Hamilton. Ticket proceeds will be going towards the release of Alexander’s debut solo album, “From the Score to the Screen”, which showcases film and concert scores composed by Alexander since 2003.
Featured performances are to include; Di Thomas, a Toronto singer/songwriter who has recently released her debut solo album, “Forgive and Forget”; Stacey Kaniuk, a Universal Records recording artist and Gold record recipient who performs with the R&B trio, Take Three; and Alexander Doan, an accomplished film score composer and songwriter, plus many more! Included in his program will be the world premiere of Alexander’s composition, “Lenore” and a live-to-picture performance of Alexander’s score for the film, “The Getouts”, directed by award-winning, Canadian director, Mitchell Arend.
Ticket holders will be automatically entered into a draw for a one-night stay in Niagara Falls for two persons, complete with free admission passes to some of the Niagara Falls attractions. Raffle ticket prizes will also be given away, including an Oscar Schmidt Washburn guitar, donated by Walter’s Music, and many other prizes.

On November 9, 2007, the mixing process began for Alexander’s debut solo album. The album, mixed by Alexander’s long time engineer, Dave Pomeroy, will consist of various film scores composed by Alexander over the past 5 years, such as The Getouts, The Tale of Gabriel Grub, and Vigilante, as well as some of Alexander’s concert works. On December 16, 2007, Toronto based singer/songwriter, Di Thomas, will be recording the vocal part for the re-recording of The Tale of Gabriel Grub.
